The Central Bank of Nigeria has said 26 million account will be frozen after a day left to reach the 30th October,2015 deadline.
Queues of customers were sighted this morning at the front door of some banks, and apart from the usual last minute weekend banking, the reason for such queues can only be the BVN Registration exercise.
A similar queue was witnessed by most banks few months ago due to late BVN registration, before the CBN postponed the closure of the BVN exercise to the last day of October.
it is amazing why such long queues should still be witnessed. People should learn to do the right things at the right tome.
The Bank Verification Number (BVN) is an initiative of the Central Bank of Nigeria to strengthen Money Security and reduce Fraud in the Banking System.
