Dream tean VI began their quest for a spot at next year's olympic games on a winning note with a 3-2 victory over their west African brothers from Mali. Two goals from Junior Ajayi in both halves as well as another from Usman Mohammed gave the one time Olympic champions maximum points and consequently secure top spot in group B.
However, it was not all that rosey for the Nigerians as they almost gave up a three goal advantage in the encounter. Niane and Sissoko spearheaded the comeback which was not to be,
by scoring in the 55th and 66th minute respectively.
In the other group match, Algeria came from behind to draw 1-1 against the dreaded Egyptians who face Samson Siasia's team in their next match on Wednesday, 2nd of December.
